Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Pride Bodies Ltd., a Wabtec Company in Cambridge, Ontario. As a member of our Brake and Shear Department, you will work daily with two other employees and the department supervisor to uphold priorities of Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Teamwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform work that is accurate and finished to the satisfaction of our end customers.
  • Uphold priorities of Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Teamwork.
  • Read and understand shop drawings to enable independent work.
  • Cut, punch, and drill material accurately and efficiently.
  • Deburr/sand all sharp edges so the next operation has minimal cleanup.
  • Stack parts for easy access for the next operation and label both parts and skids/containers correctly.
  • Help operations in the fabricating area.
Requirements
  • High School/GED diploma required.
  • Able to maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Able to work safely at all times, checking for hazards before starting any task.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Able to read a tape measure correctly.
  • Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
