The Faculty of Arts & Science is inviting applications for anticipated course offerings in the upcoming terms:
Course Title: DIGF-3009: Atelier IV: Synthesis (1.0 credit)
COURSE OVERVIEW: Atelier IV: Synthesis encourages students to enhance and evaluate their research and practice-based methodologies while developing a collaborative project that was initially proposed and prototyped in the preceding semester. Engagement with industry remains a crucial aspect of project support and context. The competencies acquired in Atelier IV equip students for the proposal of a significant body of work in their thesis year, for which development support is provided.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaching and related duties may encompass, but are not limited to: course outline creation, studio preparation and delivery, including lectures, critiques, grading, mid-term assessments, and final evaluations/reviews; ensuring compliance with health & safety standards and meeting academic and curricular requirements and deadlines.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A terminal degree in art, design, or a relevant field, and/or equivalent professional experience. Experience in post-secondary education is an asset; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered. Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities. Proven leadership and experience in fostering a respectful and inclusive environment for students, staff, and faculty.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Sessional appointments are fixed-term contracts. Compensation is based on a per-course pay scale, with a salary level of $6 per 0.5 credit course, plus 7% in lieu of benefits and vacation pay, in accordance with the Employment Standards Act. These positions are contingent upon budgetary approval and satisfactory enrollment levels.
