The Faculty of Arts & Science is seeking applications for anticipated course offerings in the upcoming terms:
Course Title: DIGF-3008: Atelier III: Investigation (1.0 credit)
Course Description: This studio-seminar course enables students to enhance their analytical and problem-solving abilities within a collaborative research-practice environment, facilitated by faculty and industry partners. Atelier III: Investigation is centered around a theme that evolves annually through a collaborative curriculum retreat involving faculty and students. Engagement with industry partners is integral to the course, supporting student-led projects. Completion of Atelier III: Investigation is required before progressing to Atelier IV: Synthesis.
Qualifications:
- A terminal degree in art, design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Prior teaching experience at the post-secondary level is preferred; relevant experience will also be considered.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven leadership in fostering a respectful and inclusive educational environment for students, staff, and faculty.
Terms of Employment: Sessional appointments are fixed-term contracts. Compensation is based on a per-course pay scale, with a salary of $6,000 per 0.5 credit course, plus 7% in lieu of benefits and vacation pay, in accordance with the Employment Standards Act. These positions are contingent upon budget approval and satisfactory enrollment levels.
