Job Title: Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Compass Group Canada. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our cleaning staff and ensuring that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Oversee the daily activities of the cleaning staff, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Inspect Sites and Facilities: Conduct regular inspections of our facilities to identify areas for improvement and ensure that our cleaning standards are met.
  • Prepare Budgets and Cost Estimates: Develop and manage budgets and cost estimates for cleaning supplies and services.
  • Recommend Additional Services: Identify opportunities for additional services, such as painting, repair work, or renovations, and recommend these to management.
  • Maintain Financial Records: Ensure accurate and timely financial records are maintained for cleaning supplies and services.
  • Receive Payment: Receive payment for specialized cleaning jobs and ensure that all financial transactions are processed accurately.
  • Assist Cleaners: Provide support and guidance to cleaning staff as needed.
  • Coordinate Work Activities: Coordinate work activities with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Develop and manage work schedules for cleaning staff to ensure adequate coverage and efficient use of resources.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
  • Certifications: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Security Clearance: Basic security clearance.
  • Criminal Record Check: Required.
