About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at Thanima Kerala Kitchen Inc. as an Ethnic Food Cook. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, including traditional South Indian cuisine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, including special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure compliance with food safety standards and maintain high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Staff Training and Supervision: Train kitchen staff and helpers in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, as well as supervise kitchen operations to ensure efficient and safe food preparation.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Safe Food Handling certificate, Food Safety Certificate, and First Aid Certificate.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
Work Environment
