Ethnic Food Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at SHAHEEN FOOD CENTRE INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating special events, determining food portion sizes and costs, planning menus, and supervising kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities- Event Coordination: Coordinate special events, including food preparation and presentation.
- Menu Planning: Plan menus and estimate food requirements for events and daily operations.
- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, ensuring efficient and safe food preparation and service.
- Inventory Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and manage inventory levels to minimize waste.
- Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a strong attention to detail.
The successful candidate will work in a dynamic kitchen environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and ensuring high standards of food quality and safety.
