Community Pediatric OT Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team at Community Therapists. As a member of our neurodivergent-affirming community-based pediatric practice, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of funders, including MCFD, CBIPCY, schools, and parents, to provide home, school, and community-based rehabilitation for children with autism, brain injuries, and other developmental concerns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct community-based assessments and implement treatment plans to address ADLs, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, visual perception, and other functional areas.
  • Work with a diverse caseload, including children with autism, brain injuries, and other developmental concerns.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including PTs, Kinesiologists, Rehabilitation Assistants, and Counsellors.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with funders, schools, and parents to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements:
  • Current membership with COTBC or eligibility for registration.
  • Minimum 1 year of pediatric OT work experience, with a preference for 2 years of overall clinical work experience.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a reliable vehicle for clinical appointments.
  • Experience working with agency payers is a strong asset.
  • Commitment to continuous learning through professional development courses.
