Empowering Children to Thrive

Community Therapists is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our neurodivergent-affirming community-based pediatric practice. As a key member of our team, you will work with a diverse group of funders, including MCFD, CBIPCY, schools, and parents, to provide home, school, and community-based rehabilitation for children with autism, brain injuries, and other developmental concerns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct community-based assessments and implement treatment plans to address ADLs, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, visual perception, and other functional areas.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including PTs, Kinesiologists, Rehabilitation Assistants, and Counsellors, to provide comprehensive care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with funders, schools, and parents to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based interventions through ongoing professional development and training.
Requirements:
  • Current membership with COTBC or eligibility for registration.
  • Minimum 1 year of pediatric OT work experience.
  • 2 years of overall clinical work experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Reliable vehicle for clinical appointments.
