Role Overview:
The Events Operations Supervisor is tasked with overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of all events organized by Accoravillage. This position demands a seasoned professional with robust leadership capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a fervor for orchestrating seamless and impactful events.
Team Leadership:
Inspire, mentor, and energize the events team, nurturing a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Strategic Planning:
Formulate and implement strategic event plans that align with organizational objectives.
Event Coordination:
Manage the comprehensive planning and execution of events from inception to completion, including venue selection, vendor management, logistics, and on-site operations.
Budget Management:
Develop and oversee event budgets, ensuring financial prudence and adherence to fiscal guidelines.
Staff Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise event personnel and volunteers, providing clear direction and support. Conduct site visits, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Compliance:
Ensure all events adhere to health, safety, and legal regulations.
Marketing and Promotion:
Collaborate with the marketing team to devise and implement promotional strategies aimed at maximizing event attendance and engagement.
Issue Resolution:
Address any issues or emergencies that arise during events, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
Post-Event Analysis:
Assess event success, gather feedback, and provide comprehensive post-event reports to stakeholders.
Requirements include a minimum of 5 years of experience in event planning and management, with at least 1 year in a leadership capacity. A proven track record of successfully managing large-scale events is essential. Proficiency in event management software and tools, along with a high level of expertise in Microsoft Office applications, is required. Certification in event planning or project management is preferred, as well as experience with virtual and hybrid events. Familiarity with the latest trends and best practices in event planning is advantageous.
