The Events Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of catering and/or other premium services within Aramark Canada. This role involves delegating responsibilities, ensuring the completion of tasks, and maintaining a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Scheduling and Assignment: Schedule and assign daily work assignments within a premium services operation, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Task Oversight: Oversee the completion of tasks within a catering, restaurant, or suites environment, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Staff Training and Development: Train and guide staff on job duties, proper food safety and sanitation, customer service, and other essential skills.
- Work Area Setup: Set up work areas according to guest/client requests, banquet event orders, and Aramark standards.
- Service Area Maintenance: Ensure that service areas are maintained, including replenishment of product, cleanliness, and other essential tasks.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, anticipating guests' needs and ensuring that their expectations are met.
- Team Collaboration: Maintain a positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, and other stakeholders.
- Adherence to Policies: Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures, including proper food safety and sanitation.
- Asset Security: Ensure the security of company assets.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience as a supervisor in a related role is preferred.
- Food Service Experience: Previous experience as a server or in a food service role is required.
- Customer Service Skills: Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
- Communication Skills: Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Independence: Requires the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Food Safety Knowledge: Working knowledge of food safety principles and procedures.
- Certification: Must be able to obtain a food safety certification.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
