Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Analyst to join our team at our Bolton facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining standard cost in Business Central, managing the financial analysis and cost roll up process, and providing key financial analysis on investment and project decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify the cause of any unexpected variances
  • Develop and improve budgeting, financial projections, and operating forecasts
  • Implement KPIs for plant performance
  • Support customer quotes process
  • Lead annual inventory count and coordinate with auditors
  • Perform month end close for department reporting, margin and mix analysis and business optimization
  • Business partner with department leads to ensure they are up to date on current department spend and how they are tracking against budget/forecast
  • Outline key actions to help mitigate and address any issues with business leads to ensure we stay on track to meet budget/forecast
  • Manage CAPEX process, tracking and reporting against budget/forecast
  • Manage and review customer and product profitability analysis, outlining key findings and recommending areas of improvement or concern to Leadership Team to help mitigate issues
  • Cost roll up and maintain standards in Business Central
  • Support Leadership Team by conducting ad hoc requests and analysis
Requirements
  • 2 – 3 years' proven working experience with emphasis on financial analysis, financial modelling, and forecasting
  • General knowledge of accounting/financial/operational principles
  • Experience developing financial reports and metrics
  • Manufacturing experience is a must, preferably in the Food Industry
  • Proficiency in MS Suite, Business Central or Navision
  • Business acumen, ability to understand and interpret complex manufacturing processes affecting costs
  • Experience conducting quantitative/financial analysis and developing recommendations based on analysis
  • History of building productive relationships across diverse functions
  • Has exemplary interpersonal skills and can make complex financial matters understandable to all constituents and stakeholders
  • Hands-on experience building complex models
