Job Summary:

Mircom Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Office team. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the month-end process, providing accurate financial reports and analysis, and identifying key revenue and cost drivers to maximize results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing timely and accurate reporting of consolidated monthly financial results
  • Responsible for preparation and posting of month-end entries
  • Manage project accounting and departmental adjustments
  • Book and reconcile intercompany transactions
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Prepare biweekly overtime analysis and reporting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Finance as well as branches globally to influence others with respect to obtaining required inputs and managing timelines
  • Adapt, anticipate, understand, and respond to the needs of internal and external clients related to financial and operational activities
  • Analyze monthly results to identify emerging trends, issues, cause, and effect analysis to contribute to strategic business decisions
  • Assist and prepare year-end audit package and liaise with external auditors

Requirements & Skills:

  • College Diploma or University Degree in Finance
  • Working towards CPA or CPA designation
  • 5+ years professional experience required as Financial Analyst
  • 3+ years experience in vertically integrated manufacturing environment is required
  • Above-average analytical skills to identify key issues
  • Strong interpersonal skills - verbal and written
  • Highly motivated and ability to work independently
  • Advanced MS Excel skills for reporting and data analysis
  • Demonstrated ability in financial analysis and improve/structure business processes
  • ERP knowledge and experience including implementation planning
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX would be considered an asset
