Grocery Store Sales Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Grocery Store Sales Associate to join our team at SRF Grocery Store Ltd. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Operate Cash Register: Accurately process customer transactions, handle cash, credit card payments, and mobile payments.
- Scan Items: Effectively scan products, manage inventory, and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
- Receive Payment: Process customer payments, handle returns and exchanges, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- Calculate Daily/Shift Payments: Reconcile daily sales with cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Suggestive Selling: Engage with customers, provide product recommendations, and promote sales of complementary products.
- Stock Shelves and Clean Counter Area: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, restock shelves, and ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Greet Customers: Provide exceptional customer service, greet customers, and respond to their needs in a timely and professional manner.
- Wrap or Place Merchandise in Bags: Effectively package customer purchases, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Weigh Produce and Bulk Foods: Accurately weigh and package produce and bulk foods, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Assist Customers with Self-Checkout: Provide assistance to customers using self-checkout, ensuring a seamless shopping experience.
- Monitor Entrances and Exits: Maintain a safe and secure store environment, monitoring entrances and exits, and requesting proof of payment when necessary.
- Experience: Previous retail or sales experience is an asset.
- Language: Fluency in English is required.
- Availability: Availability to work 30 to 40 hours per week.
