About the Role

Fidelity Investments is seeking a highly skilled Technology Research Analyst to join our Emerging Technologies Research team. As a key member of our team, you will assist in the identification, assessment, and delivery of emerging technologies research, education, and training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the identification, collection, assessment, and delivery of research initiatives that integrate various data sources, including market research organizations, universities, incubators, and internal/external expertise.
  • Assist with the identification and evaluation of new opportunities, challenges, and risks related to emerging technologies and their impact on Fidelity Investments and its clients.
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders to provide research support and guidance for new product development and innovation.

Requirements

  • Research Experience:
    • Experience assisting in the delivery of research reports/presentations.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data and information into clear and actionable insights.
    • Strong knowledge and understanding of artificial intelligence, virtual reality, blockchain, and other new technologies and their applications, benefits, and challenges.
  • Communication Experience:
    • Familiar with using various research tools and methods, such as surveys, interviews, online platforms, databases, and analytics software.
    • Solid communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts and findings in a simple and engaging way.
    • Curious and creative, with a passion for learning and exploring new ideas and possibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of technology or business and design experience in an agile environment.
  • Digital technology, relationship management, market research experience.
  • UX/UI design experience, project management, or software development experience would be an asset.
  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business, or equivalent work experience.
