Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physiotherapy Assistant

The Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physiotherapy Assistant will provide support to occupational therapists and physiotherapists in inpatient rehabilitation and complex transitional care units. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the therapists to progress patients with acute and complex medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Support occupational therapists and physiotherapists in the delivery of patient care
- Progress patients with acute and complex medical conditions under the supervision of the therapists
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve patient-centered care
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Contribute to a dynamic and rapidly changing environment, driving change and innovation
- Graduate of a combined OT/PTA Certificate course from an accredited college
- At least one year of experience in an acute care setting preferred
- Excellent patient care skills with medical, surgical, neurological, and geriatric caseload
- Ability to work every other weekend
