The Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physiotherapy Assistant will provide support to occupational therapists and physiotherapists in inpatient rehabilitation and complex transitional care units at Halton Healthcare.
Key Responsibilities- Assist occupational therapists and physiotherapists in the progression of patients with acute and complex medical conditions.
- Support the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services.
- Graduate of a combined OT/PTA Certificate course from an accredited college.
- At least one year of experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- Excellent patient care skills with medical, surgical, neurological, and geriatric caseloads.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Satisfactory attendance and employment record.
