The successful candidate will assist in progressing patients with acute and complex medical conditions under the supervision of the therapists.
Key Responsibilities- Support occupational therapists and physiotherapists in the delivery of patient care
- Assist in the progression of patients with acute and complex medical conditions
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve patient goals
- Provide excellent patient care skills with medical, surgical, neurological, and geriatric caseloads
- Initiate and maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Graduate of a combined OT/PTA Certificate course from an accredited college
- At least one year of experience in an acute care setting preferred
- Excellent patient care skills with medical, surgical, neurological, and geriatric caseloads
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Satisfactory attendance and employment record
