Job Summary

The Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physiotherapy Assistant will provide support to occupational therapists and physiotherapists in inpatient rehabilitation and complex transitional care units. The successful candidate will assist in progressing patients with acute and complex medical conditions under the supervision of the therapists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support occupational therapists and physiotherapists in the delivery of patient care
  • Assist in the progression of patients with acute and complex medical conditions
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve patient-centered care
  • Provide excellent patient care skills with medical, surgical, neurological, and geriatric caseloads
  • Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and a commitment to teamwork
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a graduate certificate in occupational therapy and physiotherapy assistance from an accredited college. At least one year of experience in an acute care setting is preferred. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent patient care skills, initiative, flexibility, and a commitment to teamwork.
