Business Intelligence Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team at Fraser Health. As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in providing leadership and analytics support to our CAADSI department.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Business Units: Work closely with various business units and stakeholders to identify reporting needs, analyze current procedures, and explore opportunities to reduce redundancies and improve data gathering and reporting processes.
- Design and Develop BI Reporting Solutions: Design and develop business intelligence reporting solutions using reporting tools such as SQL, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Provide Detailed Analysis and Advice: Provide detailed analysis, advice, insight, and interpretation from complex data across multiple sources.
- Conduct Performance Reporting Benchmarking: Conduct performance reporting benchmarking and best practices research, make recommendations for improvement, and facilitate the adoption of emerging analytical methodologies and technologies.
- Develop and Improve Performance Reporting Processes: Develop and seek continuous improvement to the performance reporting processes, including report automations and the coordination of reporting inputs, analyses, and distributions.
- Ensure Quality Assurance: Provide quality assurance and a value-added review of reporting inputs to promote high standards for quality and insight.
- Align Analytics Solutions with CAADSI Standards: Ensure the analytics solutions are aligned with CAADSI production standards and guidelines, such as data definitions and UI/UX visualizations.
- Provide Expertise across System Implementation Life Cycle: Provide expertise across different phases of system implementation life cycle to ensure reporting requirements meet established guidelines and standards, and perform corrective action as required.
- Prepare Strategic Business Cases and Reports: Prepare strategic business cases and supporting documents, briefing papers, strategic and tactical reports for an assigned area and/or portfolio for submission to Fraser Health Executive, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with CAADSI Department and Stakeholders: Collaborate with members of the CAADSI department, senior management, staff of various organizational units, and other internal and external stakeholders in support of the mission, philosophies, and goals of Fraser Health.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or related applied quantitative scientific field, plus five (5) to seven (7) years of related experience in decision support, data analysis, performance reporting, and/or health care management, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of the relational multidimensional database concepts.
- Working knowledge of big data analytics and statistics.
- Ability to operate related equipment including applicable software applications.
