As a key member of our agricultural team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our farm, ensuring the highest quality crops are produced while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Maintain accurate financial and production records to track crop yields, expenses, and labor costs.
  • Negotiate with clients to provide exceptional customer service and ensure timely delivery of our products.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of general farm workers and harvesting laborers to ensure efficient crop production.
  • Ensure all farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed, and address any issues promptly.
  • Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations to ensure optimal crop yields and quality.
  • Maintain accurate work records and logs to track employee hours, crop production, and equipment maintenance.
  • Hire and train staff to ensure a skilled and motivated team.
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment to ensure efficient crop production and minimize downtime.
  • Perform general farm duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of the farm.
  • Maintain an inventory of supplies to ensure timely ordering and minimize waste.
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, and address any issues promptly.
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience in agricultural crop production or a related field.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and relevant post-secondary education or training.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively supervise and coordinate the work of farm workers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly.
  • Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot equipment issues and optimize crop production.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, employees, and other stakeholders.
