About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Greenhouse Labourer to join our team at BEECH NURSERY GROUP INC. as a Horticulture Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the health and appearance of our greenhouse plants, lawns, and gardens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plant Care: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to ensure optimal growth and health.
  • Soil and Fertilization: Apply fertilizers and cart and spread topsoil and other materials as needed.
  • Pruning and Trimming: Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain their shape and promote healthy growth.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.
  • Refuse Management: Rake and collect refuse to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Security and Safety: A criminal record check is required for this position.
  • Work Environment: The successful candidate will work outdoors in a greenhouse environment.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
