About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Greenhouse Labourer to join our team at BEECH NURSERY GROUP INC. as a Horticulture Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and well-being of our plants and trees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plant Care: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, ensuring they receive the necessary care and attention.
  • Pruning and Trimming: Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain their shape and promote healthy growth.
  • Soil Management: Apply fertilizers and cart and spread topsoil and other materials as needed.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment to ensure efficient and safe working practices.
  • Refuse Management: Rake and collect refuse, maintaining a clean and tidy work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Security and Safety: A criminal record check will be required for this position.
  • Work Environment: This role will be based outdoors, working in a greenhouse and nursery environment.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
