Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire, Supervise, and Schedule Staff: Lead and manage a team of nursery and greenhouse workers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Develop and implement plans for labour and material requirements, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
  • Maintain Work Records and Logs: Accurately record and maintain work-related data, including labour hours, material usage, and equipment maintenance.
  • Tender and Administer Contracts: Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment, and Supplies: Procure necessary materials, equipment, and supplies to support nursery and greenhouse operations.
  • Resolve Work Problems, Provide Technical Advice, and Recommend Measures to Improve Productivity and Product Quality: Identify and address operational issues, providing guidance and recommendations to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Supervise Nursery and Greenhouse Workers: Oversee the daily activities of nursery and greenhouse workers, ensuring they adhere to established procedures and protocols.
  • Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

Experience:
  • 2 Years to Less Than 3 Years: Possess relevant experience in a nursery or greenhouse setting, with a strong understanding of horticultural practices and procedures.
