Nursery Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursery Supervisor to join our team at BEECH NURSERY GROUP INC. As a key member of our horticulture team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursery and greenhouse facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Hire, Train, and Supervise Staff: Lead and manage a team of nursery and greenhouse workers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of tasks and projects.
- Labour and Materials Planning: Develop and implement plans for labour and materials, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
- Work Records and Logs: Maintain accurate and detailed records of work completed, including labour hours, materials used, and project outcomes.
- Contract Administration: Tender and administer contracts for materials, equipment, and services, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Material Requisition: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing disruptions to operations.
- Problem-Solving and Technical Advice: Resolve work-related problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
- Nursery and Greenhouse Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursery and greenhouse workers, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Work Schedules and Procedures: Establish and maintain work schedules and procedures, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing disruptions to operations.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with a focus on efficiency and productivity.
- Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, with regular breaks to maintain physical comfort and safety.
- Work Term: Permanent position with a regular schedule.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours of Work: 32 hours per week.
