Technology Support Specialist, North West Company

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Analyst to join our Retail Technology Solutions team at The North West Company. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical support services to our retail banners, ensuring the highest service standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 24x7 Tier 2 on-call support to our store chains to maintain peak operational performance.
- Analyze and resolve day-to-day trouble tickets in a timely and efficient manner.
- Consult with the Manager to determine and deliver solutions for unusual or undocumented problems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on store systems as needed.
- Action Service Requests to provision equipment and services.
- Travel to stores to address system concerns, including new store openings, disaster recovery, and upgrades.
- Participate in IT project initiatives related to store support and operations.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience providing technical computer support.
- Degree or diploma in a computer-related program, or equivalent experience, including technology-based certifications.
- Direct experience supporting Point of Sale (POS) applications is required.
- Knowledge of Storeline applications is a definite asset.
- Knowledge of systems providing financial services, such as prepaid debit cards, account payments, and ATMs, is desirable.
- Experience administering Microsoft Active Directory.
- Experience administering Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (application deployment, patching, OS deployment, etc.) is a definite asset.
- Previous exposure to all phases and roles in the project life cycle, including experience as a project member.
- Significant travel, including international, is a requirement of this position.
- Must possess a valid passport with no border entry restrictions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-resolution skills.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at once.
