Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field and Infusion Nurse (RPN/LPN or RN) to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to patients in their homes and specialty clinics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer Medications: Safely and effectively administer medications (IV, IM, and SC) to patients in their homes or specialty clinics.
  • Monitor Patient Care: Continuously monitor post-injection/infusion treatments and chart and report on all activities as directed by program protocols.
  • Provide Patient Education: Provide patient education based on program protocols, individually or in groups, to ensure patients understand their treatment plans and can manage their conditions effectively.
  • Coordinate Patient Care: Regularly coordinate with patients, case managers, physicians, and other departments to meet established timelines for scheduling appointments, treatments, and communication of information.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, providing oversight and delegation of applicable tasks to RPN/LPNs as authorized by provincial college of nurses.
  • Perform Related Duties: Perform related duties and tasks as required to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Qualified registered nurse (valid provincial license from the College of Nurses) with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Experience: 1 year of regular IV initiation and infusion experience, with experience in a critical care, emergency, acute care inpatient/outpatient, or homecare setting considered an asset.
  • Certifications: Healthcare provider CPR certificate required, with ACLS, CVAA Certification, and central venous lines/port experience considered an asset.
  • Skills: Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook (e-mail), and MS Word, with excellent customer service skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work autonomously with little supervision.
