Position Overview

Right at Home Canada is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to fill the role of Community Care Team Leader. This position is ideal for those with a strong background in personal support work and a desire to lead a team in providing exceptional care to clients in their homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Community Care Assistants (CCA) and Personal Support Workers (PSW) team, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Engage with clients and their families in a compassionate and professional manner, fostering strong relationships within the community.
  • Facilitate effective communication among team members regarding client care needs and any concerns, while adhering to privacy regulations.
  • Manage the distribution of personal protective equipment (PPE), identification, and uniforms to caregivers.

Caregiving Duties:

  • Support clients with personal hygiene and grooming tasks.
  • Assist with bathing, dressing, and mobility activities.
  • Provide help with toileting and meal preparation.
  • Deliver specialized care for conditions such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and other chronic illnesses.
  • Offer companionship and engage clients in outings and activities.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Personal Support Worker or equivalent experience (e.g., second-year nursing student or internationally licensed nurse).
  • Proven ability to work independently and adhere to established policies and procedures.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with effective time management capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Current first-aid and CPR certification, along with a Police Criminal Reference Check.
