We are a dynamic and fast-paced restaurant group seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team at Squires Gastro Pub.

Job Summary

The Executive Chef will be responsible for leading our kitchen team and overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items. This is a key role that requires a high level of culinary expertise, leadership skills, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement new menu items and specials
    • Plan and execute menu cycles to ensure consistency and quality
  • Culinary Leadership
    • Lead and motivate a team of cooks and kitchen staff
    • Provide guidance and training to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels and ordering to ensure efficient use of resources
    • Monitor and control food costs to meet budget targets
  • Quality Control
    • Ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation
    • Monitor and address any food safety or quality control issues
Requirements
  • Culinary Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Culinary Skills
    • Ability to plan and execute menus
    • Knowledge of food safety and quality control procedures
  • Leadership and Communication Skills
    • Ability to lead and motivate a team
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
