Position Overview

Nectar Transport Inc. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck and Trailer Operator to join our logistics team. This role involves the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Relations: Address and resolve customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism.
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate and drive both straight and articulated trucks to deliver goods and materials.
  • Loading and Unloading: Efficiently load and unload cargo, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage equipment.
  • Emergency Repairs: Perform emergency roadside repairs as necessary to maintain vehicle operability.
  • Inspection Duties: Carry out pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately document cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Training will be provided for qualified candidates.
