Job Title: Truck Mechanic Helper

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Mechanic Helper to join our team at Skywalk Truck & Trailer Repair. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will assist our experienced mechanics in performing routine maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on our fleet of trucks and trailers.

Work Environment:

Our work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling. You will work in a noisy environment and be required to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) on a regular basis.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist mechanics in performing routine maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on trucks and trailers
  • Move tools, equipment, and other materials as needed
  • Signal safety procedures to other workers and the general public
  • Help tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks
  • Notify supervisor or mechanic of equipment malfunctions
  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems
