About the Role

As a valued member of the culinary team at e11even, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Reporting to the Chef, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate preparation and cooking techniques are implemented, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and providing hands-on support to cooks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory of protein, produce, dry goods, and cleaning supplies, ensuring quality and accuracy.
  • Provide training and direction to cooks, ensuring final products meet specifications.
  • Taste test food for quality assurance and report any discrepancies to the Manager.
  • Ensure accurate closing procedures are followed and report any equipment problems or maintenance concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to food safety and health and safety standards.
  • Ensure proper storage of food ingredients and prioritize tasks for speed and quality assurance.
  • Contribute to a team-focused environment and maintain a positive relationship with front-of-house staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Follow all MLSE Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of culinary experience in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Experience with POS and inventory systems is an asset.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
