Culinary Operations Supervisor

The Food Service Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining services at Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House. This position involves overseeing staff, managing food preparation, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Qualifications- Education: Completion of secondary school or equivalent experience is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years in a supervisory role within the food service industry.
- Develop and implement effective work schedules to optimize staff productivity.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of team members engaged in food preparation and portioning.
- Provide training to staff on job responsibilities, sanitation practices, and safety protocols.
- Estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
- Ensure compliance with quality control standards for food and service.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste management.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on operational activities.
This role requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work effectively under pressure. The position involves:
- Meeting tight deadlines.
- A combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Standing for extended periods.
The Food Service Supervisor will also assist with the immediate settlement needs of newcomers and refugees, including:
- Providing support with housing, transportation, and childcare.
- Facilitating the recruitment of individuals displaced by conflict or natural disasters.
- Assisting with foreign credential recognition.
