Position Overview

The role of the Food Service Supervisor involves overseeing the daily operations within a restaurant environment, ensuring that all food service activities run smoothly and efficiently.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year in a similar role is preferred.
Work Environment

This position is set in a fast-paced restaurant atmosphere where the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet work schedules.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff involved in food preparation and portioning.
  • Provide training to staff regarding their job responsibilities, sanitation practices, and safety protocols.
  • Ensure that food quality and service standards are consistently met.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste management.
  • Prepare and submit necessary reports related to operations.
  • Oversee the assembly of food trays to ensure compliance with standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position involves supervising a small team of 1 to 2 individuals.

Physical Requirements

The role requires:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shift.
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to handle pressure.
Work Schedule

This is a permanent position with a standard work schedule of 35 hours per week.
