Job Summary:

The Manitoba Government is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Auditor to join our team. As a Compliance Auditor, you will be responsible for auditing registrants under The Securities Act and The Commodity Futures Act to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Present audit results to stakeholders and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Oversee self-regulatory organizations and other entities under the Commission's jurisdiction
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective regulatory oversight

Requirements:

  • Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) in good standing, or equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience in audit and compliance, covering financial, compliance, and operational audits
  • Familiarity with Canadian auditing standards and accounting principles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with stakeholders
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in interpreting and applying regulations in a regulatory setting
  • Knowledge of securities and futures market operations
  • Completion of relevant securities industry courses

Working Conditions:

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Must have a clear Criminal Record Check
  • Required to travel within Canada and the United States
  • Must hold a valid Class 5 Driver's licence and own a vehicle
