Job Summary

The Manitoba Government is seeking a Compliance Auditor to join our team. As a Compliance Auditor, you will be responsible for auditing registrants under The Real Estate Services Act and The Mortgage Brokers Act to ensure compliance with applicable legislation and policies. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong analytical and research skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform compliance audits and finalize results
  • Review financial reports and conduct investigations
  • Ensure registrants comply with applicable legislation and policies

Requirements

  • Completion of a professional accounting program or a suitable combination of related education, training and experience
  • Diverse audit experience, including performing comprehensive financial, compliance and/or operational audits
  • Experience in applying Canadian auditing standards and accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical, research, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience interpreting, explaining and applying legislation and regulations in a regulatory environment
  • Experience in, or knowledge of, the real estate and mortgage brokerage industries
  • Experience conducting investigations
