Compliance Auditor Position

Job Summary
The Manitoba Government is seeking a Compliance Auditor to join our team. As a Compliance Auditor, you will be responsible for auditing registrants under The Real Estate Services Act and The Mortgage Brokers Act to ensure compliance with applicable legislation and policies. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong analytical and research skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Key Responsibilities
- Perform compliance audits and finalize results
- Review financial reports and conduct investigations
- Ensure registrants comply with applicable legislation and policies
Requirements
- Completion of a professional accounting program or a suitable combination of related education, training and experience
- Diverse audit experience, including performing comprehensive financial, compliance and/or operational audits
- Experience in applying Canadian auditing standards and accounting principles and practices
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical, research, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Effective time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience interpreting, explaining and applying legislation and regulations in a regulatory environment
- Experience in, or knowledge of, the real estate and mortgage brokerage industries
- Experience conducting investigations
