We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team at Miller Paving Limited. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, subcontractors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct health and safety orientations for new employees and subcontractors, ensuring they understand safety rules and procedures.
- Perform regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Investigate incidents and injuries, and handle related claims in a timely and professional manner.
- Plan and coordinate health and safety training sessions, including orientations, WHMIS, CPR/First Aid, and specialized training as needed.
- Monitor employees and subcontractors to ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Proactively identify and prevent hazardous situations, and communicate them to site management for action.
- Provide coaching and support to project managers, supervisors, foremen, and workers on HSE requirements.
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and improving HSE programs and processes, and supporting the overall management system.
- Prepare and provide monthly safety performance reports to management, highlighting trends, recommending initiatives, and improving prevention efforts.
- Manage relationships with key clients, internal and external stakeholders, to ensure alignment and engagement on HSE matters.
