Progesys is a distinguished organization specializing in industrial project oversight and seamless transitions from construction to operational phases. We are currently seeking a Senior Project Scheduler to assist clients in orchestrating various initiatives across diverse sectors including mining, energy, and infrastructure. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the Senior Project Scheduler will be instrumental in gathering essential data, making strategic decisions, and aiding the project team in achieving goals within established timelines. We are looking for a candidate who is adaptable, pragmatic, inquisitive, and thrives on challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and enforce project management standards and methodologies related to scheduling;
  • Advise on and implement best practices in project scheduling;
  • Provide guidance to project managers in formulating project execution plans;
  • Assist project managers and teams in creating baseline schedules, monitoring progress, analyzing schedule discrepancies, and recognizing trends;
  • Conduct schedule risk assessments and engage in project partner discussions;
  • Apply Earned Value Management techniques and project monitoring elements;
  • Participate in project schedule and portfolio optimization initiatives and resource requirement assessments;
  • Maintain regular communication with project team members regarding scheduling needs;
  • Collaborate closely with project control, risk management, and estimation teams to establish operational processes and develop project timelines;
  • Create schedules for consultants, suppliers, and contractors that align with project objectives;
  • Prepare and refresh project dashboards and monthly performance reports;
  • Assist project teams in analyzing delays and claims;
  • Manage the Primavera P6 database.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline;
  • Postgraduate studies in a related area preferred;
  • Certifications and training in project scheduling;
  • Proven experience in developing project management processes and standards;
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in planning for engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning projects exceeding $100M;
  • Experience as a Senior Project Scheduler in heavy industry;
  • Familiarity with a multi-project environment;
  • Expertise in Primavera P6, MS Project, and other scheduling tools;
  • PMP, PMI-SP, AACEI-PSP, or similar certifications are advantageous;
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
