Aecon Project Controls Coordinator Job Description

Aecon is seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Coordinator to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. As a Project Controls Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects across Canada.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support in developing, establishing, and maintaining project cost and control systems.
  • Assist in proposal and estimating efforts to ensure continuity between project estimates and project baseline.
  • Develop detailed, resource-loaded schedules in P6.
  • Assist in setting up project accounting systems, including cost codes, job cost processing procedures, and project rules of credit.
  • Ensure all contract conditions are applied and fulfilled for project set-up, tracking, and closeout.
  • Monitor project performance and ensure the project control system is properly implemented.
  • Generate project status reports for internal management and customers.
  • Assist in reviewing and analyzing project schedule and cost reports, suggesting corrective actions to maintain the project within anticipated cost and schedule.
Requirements:
  • College and/or university degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-3 years of related project controls construction experience.
  • Intermediate to expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees.
Benefits:
  • $80,000 to $100,000 annually.
  • 37.5 hours/week.

Working Conditions:
  • Primary work location at 555 Hanlan Road, Unit 8, Woodbridge, ON L4L 4R8.
  • Project, training, and business-related travel may be required.
  • Exposure to construction work site environment in all seasons.
