Position Overview:
We are seeking a Product Manager to oversee our Monetization & Platform Track within the product team. This track is crucial for enhancing business models on Wattpad, including programmatic advertising, in-app purchases, and subscription services, alongside essential platform functionalities such as story moderation and notifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to develop, refine, and sustain various ad and premium products.
- Contribute to the strategic product roadmap for the Monetization & Platform Track.
- Ensure alignment with company objectives by meeting established performance goals.
- Facilitate a robust product discovery process focused on understanding user, partner, and stakeholder needs while continuously validating assumptions.
- Work closely with engineering teams to define, implement, and iterate on product solutions.
- Gain insights into user engagement with our monetization models while consuming stories, identifying and prioritizing challenges and opportunities.
- Collaborate with a team of over 10 product managers to ensure a cohesive and integrated product experience for our extensive user base.
- Build and maintain strong interdepartmental relationships to collaboratively address challenges.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of professional experience in product management.
- Understanding of technology systems and their applications.
- Strong instincts for translating user pain points into actionable solutions.
- A genuine passion for storytelling and its impact.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with experience managing diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to deconstruct complex problems into manageable tasks.
- Curiosity and a desire to validate assumptions through data and peer discussions.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or UX Design is advantageous.
