We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Family Support Worker to join our team at Cross Roads Residential Youth Care. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to children and youth in our residential program.
Key Responsibilities- Education and Training
- Provide education and training to children and youth in areas such as life skills, emotional regulation, and social skills.
- Case Management
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for each child and youth, in collaboration with our multidisciplinary team.
- Support and Guidance
- Provide emotional support and guidance to children and youth, helping them to develop coping strategies and build resilience.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Work collaboratively with our team, including social workers, therapists, and other support staff, to ensure comprehensive care and support for each child and youth.
- Education
- Other trades certificate or diploma.
- Experience
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience working with children and youth in a residential or community setting.
- Skills and Qualities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
