About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Oh Bombay. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Presentation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Kitchen Operations: Manage kitchen operations, including requisitioning food and kitchen supplies, ordering equipment, and supervising kitchen staff and helpers.
  • Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train kitchen staff and helpers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and stocking supplies and equipment.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and work areas, adhering to health and safety standards.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Work Setting: This role is based in a restaurant environment.
  • Physical Demands: This role requires standing for extended periods, working in a fast-paced environment, and performing physically demanding tasks.
