Production Support Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Support Specialist to join our team at WestRock. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain production equipment, including Hogger/Shredder/Unitizer, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of raw materials and finished products, up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform quality control checks on finished products and report any issues to the machine operator.
  • Participate in machine clean-up tasks and perform weekly start-up tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Report any machine or equipment issues to the Supervisor in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Safe Work Practice certification and Lockout/Tagout certification.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Basic math skills to count production quantities and measure raw materials and finished products.
  • Ability to work in a controlled environment with exposure to dust, fumes, heat, cold, noise, and vibration.
