Job Title: Kids Club Team Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Kids Club Team Lead to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Vancouver. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for planning and leading indoor and outdoor activities for children aged 5-12, supervising a team of staff and volunteers, and providing coaching and development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead engaging activities for children, promoting physical and emotional development
  • Supervise and support a team of staff and volunteers, ensuring a positive and inclusive environment
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to staff and volunteers, enhancing their skills and knowledge
  • Develop and implement child-centered programming, aligning with YMCA values and goals
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with families, staff, and community stakeholders
  • Manage administrative tasks, including payroll, budget tracking, and other duties as assigned
  • Ensure the health and safety of children in your care, maintaining a clean and safe environment

Requirements:

  • 19 years of age or older
  • Experience working or volunteering with children, preferably in a leadership role
  • Minimum 1 year experience leading a team, with a proven track record of success
  • Emergency First Aid & CPR certification, or willingness to obtain within 90 days
  • Training in child development an asset, with the YMCA providing training opportunities
  • Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Search required, with the YMCA providing application forms
