Job Title: Team Leader, YMCA Kids Clubs

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our YMCA Kids Clubs team. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for planning and leading indoor and outdoor activities for children aged 5-12, supervising a team of staff and volunteers, and providing on-going coaching and development of staff and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead engaging and safe activities for children aged 5-12
  • Supervise and provide leadership to a team of staff and volunteers
  • Provide on-going coaching and development of staff and volunteers
  • Plan and implement child-centred programming
  • Establish positive relationships and communications with families, staff, and key community stakeholders
  • Complete administrative tasks, including payroll and budget tracking
  • Provide active supervision to ensure children's safety and well-being
  • Prepare healthy snacks for children
  • Build positive relationships with children and their families
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment

Requirements:

  • Must be 19 years of age
  • Experience working or volunteering with children
  • Minimum 1 year experience leading a team
  • Emergency First Aid & CPR certification
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
