Role Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive patient care within an active chronic care unit, which includes conducting assessments and providing personal care.

Candidate Qualifications

Halton Healthcare seeks individuals who demonstrate competence in their profession and embody our core values of accountability, respect, and compassion.

  • Must hold current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • BCLS certification required at the time of hire.
  • Proven leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Minimum one year of nursing experience in a Long Term Care environment.
  • A caring and compassionate demeanor towards patients and their families.
  • Strong team collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills/RUGS III data entry is advantageous.
  • Commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • A genuine interest in working with the elderly population.
  • Satisfactory employment and attendance history.
  • Must be capable of meeting the physical demands of the role.

Work Hours: Rotating 12-hour shifts; 0730 to 1930 hours and 1930 to 0730 hours (subject to operational changes).

Compensation: $39.07 to $56.00 per hour.
