About the Role

RONA Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for leading and executing complex projects, negotiating with suppliers, and developing strategic procurement plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute high-complexity projects, including strategic corporate initiatives
  • Co-authorize new Statements of Work (SOWs) with internal clients, requiring innovative thinking
  • Lead client relations with Directors and Vice Presidents
  • Lead large cross-functional working groups to achieve business objectives
  • Improve processes and work components of different departments
  • Draft and update corporate procurement policies and operational procedures
  • Set up and maintain contract analysis templates and standard clauses
  • Ensure compliance with supplier agreements
  • Supervise and train peers in negotiation preparation and execution
  • Participate in budget planning for sectors with contracts under management
  • Build and develop business relationships with internal customers and suppliers
  • Manage the calendar of supplier meetings and follow up with stakeholders
  • Manage, train, and direct resources under your responsibility
Requirements
  • University degree in business administration
  • 10 years of experience in negotiation, including 5 years in drafting and managing major tenders
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Experience in retail and distribution (asset)
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change
  • Strong organizational, service, and quality focus
  • Decision-making skills and sense of responsibility
  • Team spirit and leadership
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
