We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Leader to join our team at RONA. As a key member of our Corporate Goods and Services Purchasing sector, you will be responsible for reviewing and improving our procurement processes, ensuring compliance with our management framework, and promoting best practices throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and execute complex projects, including strategic corporate initiatives, to drive business growth and cost optimization.
- Collaborate with internal clients to develop and implement new sourcing strategies, often requiring innovative thinking and creative solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Directors and Vice Presidents, to drive business results and achieve objectives.
- Develop and implement process improvements across various departments, resulting in increased efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and maintain corporate procurement policies and operational procedures, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Establish and maintain contract analysis templates and standard clauses, ensuring compliance with supplier agreements.
- Ensure compliance with supplier agreements by analyzing variances and making recommendations for improvement.
- Train and develop peers in negotiation and execution skills, ensuring a high level of expertise within the team.
- Participate in budget planning and management, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal customers and suppliers, driving business growth and cost optimization.
- Manage the calendar of supplier meetings, attend meetings, and follow up with stakeholders on outstanding items.
- Manage, train, and direct resources under your responsibility, ensuring high levels of performance and productivity.
- Hold a university degree in business administration.
- Have ten (10) years of experience in negotiation, including at least five (5) in the drafting and management of major tenders.
- Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to produce high-quality minutes, emails, standards, and procedures.
- Experience in retail and distribution is an asset.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt easily to change.
- Strong organizational, service, and quality-focused mindset.
- Decision-making skills and a sense of responsibility.
- Possess team spirit and leadership abilities.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
