About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team at RONA Inc. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers to ensure the best possible outcomes for our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute complex projects, including strategic corporate initiatives
  • Co-authorize new Statements of Work (SOWs) with internal clients, requiring innovative thinking
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Directors and Vice Presidents
  • Lead cross-functional working groups to achieve business objectives
  • Improve processes and work components across different departments
  • Develop and maintain corporate procurement policies and operational procedures
  • Establish and maintain contract analysis templates and standard clauses
  • Ensure compliance with supplier agreements through regular utilization reports and variance analysis
  • Train and supervise peers in negotiation preparation and execution
  • Participate in budget planning for sectors with contracts under management
  • Build and maintain business relationships with internal customers and suppliers
  • Manage the calendar of supplier meetings and follow up with stakeholders on outstanding items
Requirements
  • University degree in business administration
  • 10 years of experience in negotiation, including 5 years in drafting and managing major tenders
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Experience in retail and distribution (asset)
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change
  • Strong organizational, service, and quality focus
  • Decision-making skills and sense of responsibility
  • Team spirit and leadership
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
