About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled AppOps Engineer to join our team at Interac Corp. As an AppOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our payment systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Application Support: Provide timely and effective support for our Java/JEE applications, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Utilize APM tools like AppDynamics/Dynatrace to troubleshoot applications and identify performance issues.
  • Infrastructure Management: Work with senior team members to gather monitoring requirements from stakeholders and deliver solutions utilizing the enterprise monitoring toolset.
  • Automation and Integration: Identify areas of automation for building self-remediation needs and integrate between AppDynamics, Splunk, PagerDuty, and ServiceNow.
  • Performance Analysis: Create or update performance analysis reports & dashboards, Knowledge base, and propose and implement solutions to improve application availability and reliability.
Requirements
  • Education: University Degree in Computer Science Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of software development (Java)/maintenance experience, preferably with experience in payment systems or the banking domain.
  • Skills: Strong SRE Background, experience in network troubleshooting and Infrastructure tuning, scripting tools like Power Shell, BASH, Python, and Ansible, RDBMS expertise - Oracle or DB2, and experience in maintaining high-performance, service-oriented architectures.
