As a key member of the Operations team, the Procurement Analyst will report directly to the Operations Manager. This pivotal role encompasses the management of critical procurement functions, including Request for Proposals (RFPs), negotiations, and comprehensive cost assessments. The primary goal is to enhance customer satisfaction by efficiently addressing inquiries and optimizing purchasing strategies for goods and services that align with the organization's objectives.

The Procurement Analyst will take charge of sourcing, negotiating, awarding, documenting, and overseeing supplier relationships for both material and service-oriented needs.

This position entails managing purchase orders, coordinating supplier deliveries, and fostering robust relationships. Collaboration with Operations, Supplier Quality, and Engineering teams is essential to ensure streamlined procurement processes and reliable delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee procurement activities for all materials from the initial purchase request to timely delivery and acceptance, ensuring alignment with the manufacturing schedule.
  • Facilitate necessary interactions within the Supply Chain team and broader business units to ensure the successful execution of the manufacturing plan.
  • Implement strategies to enhance on-time delivery performance to customers.
  • Analyze supplier quotes and services to identify optimal suppliers and negotiate terms to meet budgetary constraints.
  • Synchronize supplier schedules with facility requirements and secure delivery confirmations to mitigate risks associated with delays.
  • Evaluate and assess suppliers to guarantee the receipt of quality products in accordance with the established schedule.
  • Collaborate with the Quality team to ensure that supplier materials meet specifications and contractual obligations.
  • Support strategic initiatives that align with facility and company objectives.
  • Promptly address and manage supplier payment and invoicing issues.
  • Maintain the integrity of inventory management systems and logistics databases to support program requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement or planning roles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Project.
  • Familiarity with inventory management processes, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Just in Time (JIT) methodologies; experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement processes.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of presenting clear information to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
